Historical Chinatown Vancouver to Downtown Vancouver Centre

The “Silk Road Route” is a self guided walking tour from
Historic Chinatown through to the centre of Downtown Vancouver. This is the
first official walk linking these two central parts of the city. The Silk Road
Route is clearly outlined by colorful road flags from the beginning of the
route to the other. The Route
begins on Gore Avenue & takes you on a dynamic journey with an end result
of the world famous Robson Street. The Route covers many Historical focal
points at its beginning in Chinatown:
- Historic Keefer Street
- International Village (Tinseltown)
- Millennium Gate
- Century’s winds of Change Mural
- West Han Dynasty Bell
- China Gate
- Chinese Cultural Centre
- The Monument of Canadian Chinese
- Chinatown Market area
- Andy Livingston Park
- Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden
Once entering into the Downtown part of the Route you will be introduced to focal points like:
- Queen Elizabeth Theatre,
- Library Square (Vancouver Public Library)
- Robson Street Cooridor
- GM Place
- BC Place
All in all this is a very site-seeing friendly tour of this these two very famous parts of the City of Vancouver.
